Low surface tension liquids, such as detergents, glide easily down the inner surface of the attachment, leaving very little residue. This low retention feature is very useful when pipetting such viscous liquids: PCR, real-time PCR, cloning, SDS-PAGE, and other methods of nucleic acid or protein analysis.
